What I want to know about my topic
My essential question is what its like to live in Australia?
1. My next question is how much does it cost to stay in the best 5 star hotel in sydney?
2. Where is the best place to fish on the hawkesbury river?
3. What is the best restraunt to eat at in sydney?
4. Which is the best national park to go to?
5. When does the sydney opera house open?
What I already know about my topic
I already know Australia is one of the most popular surfing locations in the world. It is also has the most visited site in the world that averages over 7 million tourists every year. In 2001, sydney was the top city in australia to travel too, making the top ten list of the world. Thats about all I know about sydney australia off the top of my head.

The story behind my topic choice
The reason I am interested in Australia is because I've always wanted to go to one of the worlds best fishing locations and sit there all day fishing. I also wanted to go to Sydney to stay in the swissotel hotel which is in the heart of sydney itself. Also, the legendary sydney opera house that shows over 1,500 performances each year attended by some 1.2 million people and over 7 million people visit the site each year. The best place I would like to fish is a couple of hours away from the hotel I would want to stay at. Its called the Hawkesbury river, which is home to the silver bass, regular bass, and the brim. Other things to do in sydney are admire the wildlife along the banks and in the oceans. Some examples are the squid, crabs, pelicans, black swan, grey teal, fairy penguin(only on lyon island), and the wallaby. The thing I want to see most is the death adder, a snake found only in australia, the death adder snake inject on average 40-100 mg of extremely toxic venom into the victim. If untreated the bite would kill a full grown man in minutes, making the bite one of the most dangerous in the world. Its venom is completely neurotoxic, which targets the nerves specifically. Also the venom causes paralysis, which could cause instant death from respiratory failure. Now with the antivenom deaths from these bites are very rare in australia but are still common in New guinea.
